Below are listed the Court Fees which
were updated on 1st July 2009. The court fee must be paid when the Claim Form
(Summons) is submitted to the Court and will be added to your claim. In
addition there is now a fee when a hearing is appointed. These are listed
separately below.

The above fees are all added to your claim. On
a successful conclusion the other side will be sent a Court Order (Judgment) to
pay these.
| The Hearing Fee is payable by the Claimant
to the Court Service prior to a Court hearing date being allocated. Claim link
will carry out a full review of the claim and your documentation, advise you as
to how to conduct your claim and any special requests to make to the District
Judge. |

The above fees

Processing Fee |

Claim Link charges a fixed fee of
£25.00 if you are paid by the Defendant prior to any proceedings being
issued. This is purely a nominal charge for processing your claim and is a
success fee only. If you are not paid we charge the above fees for filing your
claim at court and as stated these are added to your claim. Additional charges
are shown below and should be taken into account when taking the decision to
commence a claim.

- There is an allocation fee of
£35.00 which must be paid to the Court by the Claimant if the claim is
between £1,500.00 and £5,000.00 and is set down for a court
hearing. For claims over £5,000.00 the Allocation fee is
£200.00
- On obtaining judgment enforcement
may be required. A schedule of Court Fees for enforcing a judgment is listed
below.
- Claim Link do make a small charge
for processing some of the enforcement options and these are also listed
below.

After the issuing of proceedings the Defendant
has 21 days to reply. They have the following options:
- To ignore the claim
- To admit the claim in
full
- To defend the claim in
full
- To admit part of the
claim
If no response is received by the court Judgment in
Default can be applied for. |
